Important Advisory: Beware of Impersonation Attempts via Email

Dear Esteemed Members of the Philippine Pediatric Society,

We would like to bring to your attention an emerging concern regarding online impersonation. It has come to our notice that certain individuals or entities are engaging in deceptive practices by spoofing or falsely representing themselves as members of the PPS Board or staff through fraudulent emails.

To protect our members and the integrity of our organization, we kindly urge you to remain vigilant when receiving unsolicited or suspicious communications—especially those requesting personal information, financial details, or payment instructions.

Please remember:
- The Philippine Pediatric Society will never request payments in foreign currency or sensitive information via email without prior official notice through verified channels.
- Do not click on links or download attachments from unfamiliar or unverified sources.
- If an email appears to come from a PPS representative but seems unusual or out of context, please do not act on it immediately.

If you receive a suspicious email—whether it appears to be from a Board Member, staff, or any PPS-related account—we encourage you to:
- Refrain from responding or clicking on any links. Forward the full email (with headers, if possible) to our official contact email: ppsinc@pps.org.ph
- Notify us as soon as possible so we can take appropriate action.

Your awareness and cooperation are vital in safeguarding our professional community from cyber threats.

Thank you for your continued trust and commitment to the PPS. Stay safe, stay informed, and let’s work together to keep our organization secure.
